About Us
Coming from a family of goldsmiths, Farid grew up observing the art of unique jewellery creation and mastering inherited knowledge and expertise. Graduate of Faculty of Architecture in Azerbaijan, Farid decided to expand the family business, which he joined in 1998. Since then Farid has been pursuing a career in the jewellery industry, which included travelling to New York, USA in 2000 to work alongside some of the best jewellery designers. Having experience in working with remarkable jewelry pieces and fascinating gemstones in both European and Western worlds enriched his artistic vision to design exquisite jewellery.
In 2010, Farid arrived in Calgary, Canada and began working in the local jewellery industry. Two years later, Farid established his own jewellery line Jewellery Ideas, and has since been demonstrating unique perspectives and designs of modern and custom jewellery pieces. Farid finds that using combinations of fine diamonds and a rich palette of precious gemstones with various tints of gold and other rare metals creates an exclusive, captivating frame of mind on modern and classical jewellery.
Farid opened Cochrane Custom Jewellery business in Cochrane, Canada in 2023. With more than two decades of experience, Farid established nationwide and worldwide professional connections, explored the best sources for precious gemstones, all to provide customers with the highest quality products and services.
